Accessibility Policy

Effective date: 1 February 2026

At NorthStarIQ Partners, we believe accessibility is part of “trusted” — if people can’t use your site reliably, the site isn’t doing its job. This policy explains how we approach accessibility on our website northstariq-partners.co.za and how you can get help if something isn’t working for you. ✅

1) Our accessibility commitment

We aim to make our website usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice input, etc.). We use the World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as our reference point.

2) Our target standard

Our goal is to align the website with WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable. This is the level that generally provides a solid, inclusive experience for most users without making unrealistic promises.

*(Context: In South Africa, government web guidance recommends at least WCAG Level A as a minimum baseline. We treat that as a floor, not a finish line.)

3) What we do in practice

We work toward accessibility by focusing on the basics that matter most:

  • Clear page structure (headings, labels, readable layouts)

  • Keyboard accessibility for key navigation and actions

  • Reasonable colour contrast and readable text sizing

  • Alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate

  • Forms that are usable and understandable

  • Ongoing improvements as the site evolves

WCAG is organised around being Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR) — that’s the core mental model we use.

4) Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Some parts of the website may not be fully accessible at all times, for example:

  • Third-party embedded content (widgets, video players, plugins)

  • Documents or downloads supplied by third parties

  • Legacy pages or older content that hasn’t been remediated yet

If you hit a barrier, tell us — we’ll treat it as a bug, not a “nice to have.” 👊

We’ll respond as soon as reasonably possible and aim to provide an alternative way to access the content while we work on a fix.

6) Accessibility and equality

We take accessibility seriously as part of fair access and non-discrimination. South African equality legislation is aimed at preventing unfair discrimination and promoting equality — and accessibility supports that objective in the digital world too.

We may update this policy as our website and practices evolve. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the effective date.
