2) B2B-only use
This Site and our offerings are provided for business-to-business (B2B) use only. You confirm that you are using the Site on behalf of a business, or for business purposes, and not as a consumer.
3) What this Site is (and isn’t)
This Site provides general information about our approach, products, and services — including compliance-grade data quality, trusted reporting foundations, and performance intelligence.
Important: Nothing on this Site is legal, compliance, financial, or investment advice. If you need advice for your specific situation, consult an appropriately qualified professional.
4) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated effective date. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
5) Permission to use the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only.
You agree you will not:
-
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or systems
-
disrupt, overload, or interfere with Site operation
-
scrape, copy, or harvest content at scale using automated means
-
upload malware or attempt to introduce vulnerabilities
-
use the Site in a way that violates any law or third-party rights
6) Intellectual property
All content on this Site (including text, frameworks, diagrams, downloads, templates, product descriptions, and branding) is owned by or licensed to NorthStarIQ Partners, unless stated otherwise.
You may:
-
view and use the Site for internal business evaluation
-
share links to our pages (credit appreciated)
You may not:
-
reproduce, republish, distribute, or resell Site content or materials without written permission
-
remove copyright notices or branding
-
use our materials to create a competing product, training pack, or derivative commercial asset without written permission
If you purchase or receive downloadable materials, those materials are governed by the specific license terms provided with that product or package.
7) Third-party links
The Site may include links to third-party websites (e.g., LinkedIn or external resources). Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices. We’re not responsible for their content or actions.
8) Availability and security
We aim to keep the Site available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. You use the Site at your own risk.
9) Privacy and POPIA
If you provide personal information to us (e.g., via contact forms, email, or newsletter sign-ups), we handle it in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). POPIA requires responsible parties to implement reasonable security safeguards to protect personal information.
10) Communications and newsletters
If you opt in, we may send business updates, insights, and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting privacy@northstariq-partners.co.za.
11) Products, services, and licensing (B2B)
If we offer paid products (e.g., playbooks, templates, licenses, or subscriptions), additional terms may apply at checkout, in your order confirmation, or inside the license file supplied with the product.
11.1 Authority to act
If you use the Site or purchase on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms and any related product license terms.
11.2 Pricing and payment
Pricing is shown in the relevant offer pages or proposals. Payment terms will be specified at checkout or in the applicable proposal/order form.
11.3 Delivery
Digital products are typically delivered via download link or email. You are responsible for keeping access details secure and ensuring the intended authorised users have appropriate access.
11.4 Refunds (B2B)
Unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing:
-
digital products are non-refundable once delivered or accessed, because they are immediately usable, and
-
services are billed per the agreed statement of work/proposal.
If something is materially defective (e.g., broken file, incorrect delivery), tell us and we’ll fix it fast.
12) Disclaimers (no guarantees)
We build systems, controls, and evidence-ready reporting foundations — but outcomes depend on your environment, data sources, operational discipline, and decision-making.
Therefore:
-
we do not guarantee specific business outcomes, financial results, or regulatory outcomes, and
-
we do not claim to “ensure compliance.” We help you improve control, proof, and reporting integrity.
13) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
-
we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses (including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of business, or reputational harm); and
-
our total liability connected to your use of the Site is limited to the amount (if any) you paid us in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or ZAR 10,000, whichever is lower.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
14) Indemnity
If you breach these Terms, misuse the Site, or infringe third-party rights, and that results in a claim against us, you agree to indemnify us for reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees) arising from that breach or misuse.
15) Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
We prefer the pragmatic path:
-
written notice of the issue and a good-faith attempt to resolve it within 14 days,
-
if unresolved, escalation to senior decision-makers,
-
then the courts with jurisdiction in South Africa.
